Human Whack-A-Mole

I enjoy watching MXC on Spike and I am always amused by the creative comedy shows aired in Japan. YouTube has some funny clips of Gaki No Tsukai, including human whack-a-mole, a game I want to play. I can think of a few MOLES I would like to WHACK! Nice.

Blog Spam

Yes, it is true ... WassupJose.com has been the target of blog spam. Akismet has caught the offending comments and marked them as spam! One spammer started spamming on the 25th and has been posting spam each day. Here is the best part, the spammer offered to remove the site from the spam base if I send an email to a Gmail account ... whatever losers!

The IP address of the spammer is 72.9.105.146. The domain 72.9.105.146.svservers.com is US based, nice. Interestingly, I found quite a few abuse emails directed to Ezzi.net. Do I have to unleash the wrath of Evil Dave on you? Now, stay out!

Old Websites

We traveled back in time to see some old school computers, now it is time for a look back at old websites. These websites are LAME! Wait, it gets better ... these are also the times when anyone who knew HTML was riding the cash cow to the bank. Now, they are a dime a thousand. How many people do you know that got into IT based on their exclusive HTML knowledge and experience? Are they a manager or executive today? Hmmm, nice!

More LAME websites and of course the Wayback Machine. Check it!

After three years of marriage, Kim was still questioning herhusband about his lurid past."C'mon, tell me," she asked for the thousandth time, "I knowyou've been with a lot of woman before. How many were there?"The husband replied, "Look, I don't want to upset you, there weremany. Let's just leave it aloneThe wife continued to beg and plead and promised she wouldn't getangry. Finally, the husband gave in."Okay," he said, "Let's see, there was one, two, three, four, five, six, seven - then there's you -- nine, ten, eleven, twelve,thirteen....."

Another Hollywood Gem

I saw the trailer for "Meet the Spartans", a new release from Jason Friedburg and the Alka Seltzer. The writers, directors, and producers of such hollywood "L"osers as "Scary Movie" and "Epic Movie" are targeting 300 now. These movies are sooo stupid, there may be some funny parts worth watching. Hmm, should we plan a movie night or wait for the DVD?

Barrett-Jackson

During commercials, I flip through the channels and frequently watch the Barrett-Jackson car collector events. The 37th annual event ends today, Sunday, January 20, 2008. There are always amazing cars on display.

I searched the results for final prices through Saturday and found the top price is a kewl $1.6 million for a 1963 Corvette Coupe concept car. Also of interest is the final price for a 2009 Corvette, it sold for $1.0 million.

I would have drove down to the local Chevrolet dealer and picked one up for $99k +/-, but that is me 'cause I am cheap.

Computer Flashback

Are you ready for a technology flashback? Check out Old Computers and go back in time. It is funny, because I owned a couple of these ancient marvels when I was a teenager. Yeah, yeah, I am old. When god said, "let there be light", I flipped the switch.
