Bobby Fischer 1943-2008
Read the NY Times tonight and got word that the Mozart of the Chess board died. Like the composer, he was a prodigy, and certainly second to none in his discipline. Thanks for the immortal games.
Are you kitty me?
The Hello Kitty franchise is taking over the free world! Hello Kitty clothes, jewelry, school supplies, stuffed animals, etc. You name it, Hello Kitty has it all. How about contacts? Yes, Hello Kitty contacts are here for the Hello Kitty collector that has it all. Too weird for me!

Burger Lovers …
I stumbled upon Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, which features some pretty hefty burgers (not to be confused with Hefty Burger in W. Sacramento). The pub features several hefty burgers, including a 50 pound plus hamburger rightfully named the "Beer Barrel Belly Bruiser". After eating one of these burgers, I am sure one will be making a run for the border and heading for the lounge. Enjoy burger lovers. (Anyone know the world record for a burger?)

Wikipedia Today
Wikipedia is one of my favorite reference sites and today, January 15th is Wikipedia's 7th birthday. Stupid trivia sure, but news nonetheless. A parting shout out to Happy Days, 70's comedy, its original ran on January 15, 1974. Needless to say, if you watched the TV series you are old and have a one digit social security number!
Speed Racer Mach 5
Mach 5 LIVE at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show. It was a nice try, but it does not look right to me. The front lights appear to be too short and the body lines are wrong. I do not recall the wheel style, but these appear wrong too. Plus cheesy white letter tires advertising for Yokohama Advan tires. Puleeze! Are you listening Wachowski brothers?

WWII Normandy Invasion with Three Guys?
Check out this making of video showing how three guys filmed their own WWII Normandy Invasion. These guys are amazing, and I am sure will have a bright future in film.
Are The Rumors True?
Alvin & the Chipmunks is positioned to gross over $200 million dollars, yikes! Who is watching these movies? I just read a story that a sequel is in the works, are you kidding me? I can see it now ... "The Chipettes" sequel and "Making the Band" or "Battle of the Bands" Chipmunk Edition for the finale in the Chipmunk Trilogy.
The movie was released on Friday, December 14, 2007 and has a total gross of $187,740,000 to date. This weekend it grossed $9,100,000, a drop of -41.5% from the previous week. I am predicting Fox will leave it in theaters until it breaks the $200,000,000 mark and then rush it to DVD before the hype fades.

20th Century-Fox has produced some "L"osers ... do you think Fox may be interested in the "Wassup Jose, Party Like A Rock Star!" or "Wassup Jose, Drop It Like It's Hot!" movies? I can see the lines forming now!
Sum Yun Gals
It is only appropriate that I follow Sum Yun Gai with Sum Yun Gals. These are contestants for the Miss Thailand pageant. I must be shallow, because I think all of them are cute! Miss WassupJose is the one in the middle (top photo).
