Poll Plugin
I have downloaded and installed a couple of poll plugins, but think I like the AJAX-enabled poll and shoutbox plugins. I promised to setup the polls, so it is in the queue. It looks like I have to upgrade WordPress before I activate the plugins. Another security release.

Dirty People
What do I mean dirty people? I mean the challenged people that live among us i.e. the dirty Joe that does not wash his hands after using the restroom, the smelly Joe that is either in front or back of you at the grocery line, the a-hole Joe that eats with his mouth open and insists on smacking every bite, the waiter Joe that puts his fingers in your drink or food at a restaurant. Arggh!
If you work for a company that provides services, specifically food service and I do not see you wash your hands after using the restroom I will rat you out. You are working with food, so stop for one minute and wash your hands. I enjoy condiments on various dishes, but can do without the extra sauces and spices.
If you smell like a rat crawled up your chute and died, clean your dirty rear! Is it a cultural thing or do certain groups of people just stink? I can hold my breath for a minute, which is long enough for me to exit the drop of an a-bomb. However, if I am stuck in line in front or behind you at the store it is torture for me and others around you.
If you eat with your mouth open and smack each and every bite, shut your pie hole! I do not care to see what you are eating or hearing every single bite echoing in my ears. I am not referring to children here. These are adults eating like cows. We cannot ignore the smackers that talk while they enjoy their meals. Nice.
Lastly, if you are a food server please keep your fingers out of my drink and food. I trust that you washed your hands after you used the restroom. I see you handling money, credit cards, and who knows what during your trips. All I ask is that you keep your hands off the food and fingers out of my drinks. I do not know you like that dirty!
Unethical, Incompetent, Liars (teaser)
Oh yeah! This is a nice one, but I will hold off until next week. However, I will state that over the course of my career I have worked with all types of individuals. Most are friends and great people, but there are a small handful of idiots that I despise and will never work with again.
Interesting thing, I met and worked with two unethical, incompetent, liars at the same time on the same project. Lucky me! One loser is a so-called project manager and the other is, well, a legend in his own mind who writes some of the crappiest VB.NET code I have ever seen. Wait, it could be a tie between ... nope; this loser is the undisputed winner.
Ahh, more WTF candidate code samples come to mind. Nice. Well, just wanted to plant this seed, because these idiots suck ass, add zero value to the project, and single handedly ran the project into hell. Rest assured that it takes zero skill to do what you do and I am sure you will find comfort in knowing that the team member you are speaking to despises you.
Yes, even the manager, director, and executive you are speaking to hates your asses and cannot wait until you leave. By the way, great job ass holes! You have raised the bar to a new level. Wait there is more, as a parting gift I am going to tell my network of coworkers, friends, and others of your fine skills ... in case you find yourself looking for work.
Back Online!
I am back online after a short hiatus, which was involuntary and a result of incompetent individuals at HomeComing Townhomes and AT&T. I was without Internet access for three long weeks! I have had uninterrupted Internet service for over 12 years and then all hell broke loose and spiraled into a major pie hole!
I am in the process of drafting a post about the entire ordeal, so stayed tuned because I am going to call out some people. Hold on, let me get a big shout out to Jonathan Adler, incompetent AT&T customer service manager, this guy is all bull shit period. He does not return phone calls, he over commits, and always under delivers (he is batting 0% to date).
I want to save the best for later, but would like to state that I will NEVER purchase AT&T television programming or internet services again. As a matter of fact, if I move it will be a REQUIREMENT that the builder or community offer services other than AT&T or I will NOT buy or move into the home ... period.
Back to being online. It appears the blogging has slowed quite a bit, so I need to ramp up and get my rear in gear. I have three weeks to make up. I see that the blog spammers have been at it again too. These mofos will never stop, but it is nice to know the Akismet plugin and htaccess are filtering out most of the losers.
Well, it is great to be back online!

Best TV Shows
Since we seem to have a lot of TV show bashing lately (Jose!)... I thought maybe we should take a poll on what everyone's favorite show of all time is. Mine... Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Oh, Sarah Michelle Gellar... you are soooo hot, you could slay me anytime.
Television Horrors
A couple of days ago, I posted that I hate the Fresh Prince. Well, I was flipping through the channels again and I just have to say that I despise Home Improvement. What a cluster, Tim Allen is boring and his show is not funny. This loser ran from 1991 through 1999!
However, I am not surprised to learn that the show was created by the same morons that created the equally stupid The Cosby Show. I hate The Cosby Show. I simply do not get it, but it comes down to individual tastes of course. I just hate these specific shows!
MySQL Development
I am a mega-newbie to the MySQL database platform, so I prepared myself for long nights of RTFMs and repeated trial and error. Wrong! It has been an interesting learning experience and I must give credit to MySQL for their excellent open source database engine and tools.
The MySQL administration console, query browser, workbench, and connectors are easy to use and posses intuitive interfaces. I am still getting used to a couple items, but overall the development has been smooth. Nice!
In addition to MySQL, I am learning PHP. The following books have been great resources:
