Goodbye Circus Animals
On the drive home tonight, I heard that Mother's Cookies shut down! The company cited "unforeseeable business circumstances" for an abrupt closure. First, Mervyn's is shutting its doors and now another local company.
The economy and credit freeze is taking its toll on many across the country, but we do not realize the impact until it hits home. I have been a Mervyn's shopper for over a decade and have eaten Mother's Cookies for as long as I can remember.
Now, both companies are gone! I wonder how the mom and pop companies are holding up during these rough times? Hopefully, all of the bullshit bailouts stimulate the economy and we see changes soon.

It’s Finally Over!
This post is a little late, but I am so glad the election is over! Damn, every 4 years the same bullshit. I do not know about others, but I am sick of it. The important thing for me is that the incompetent incumbent will be out soon. What is next for us?

Another car-related post for the readers. On my way to work, a white crossover was riding my bumper. The driver tired of driving 75 mph and passed to the right. The woman (Rachel Racer) sped off like a freak and quickly crossed the horizon.
The only thing I could think was, "She is an ass and I hope she gets a ticket". No more than 5 minutes passed, when I saw a CHP on the side of the road and guess who got pulled over for speeding? Ha! She got caught, I hope the ticket was for 100 mph+.
If I knew the CHP officer would not be an ass, I would have stopped and took a picture. It was a classic stop. Usually, the speeders just run off with no CHP in site. Today, an event worthy of a post. Nice!
Yo! Dude …
your car is on fire. Tonight, on the way home I smelled something burning and for a couple seconds thought it was the handsome Focus. Damn, I must have rode the brakes or clutch too hard that it is melting steel. This is not a good thing.
Luckily, it was not the Focus. Instead, it was a black BMW smoking big time! I am SURE the driver was aware of the smoke, but kept on driving like it was no big deal. He crossed the bridge, paid toll, and hauled ass on the freeway.
I understand that automotive repairs can be expensive, but driving a car in this condition is hazardous to both the driver and others. Dude! Get the BMW fixed or park it. Yeah, easier said than done.
Busy Week
It has been a busy week! I have not posted in several days and feel like I am neglecting the blog. I have several posts in the queue, but just have not had time to write. I plan to work from home on Friday, hopefully I can sneak in a post or two between breaks!
