IsNot

Something I wasn't aware of until I saw it the other day. in VB.NET IsNot is a valid keyword. So instead of writing "If Not Object Is Nothing Then" you can write the more grammatically correct/intuitive statement "If Object IsNot Nothing Then". Ah, it's the little things. :)

Let’s Try It Again!

Gman and I were the only ones ready to get our OZ on this past Saturday, so we are going to try this one more time. If you are FREE and can make it this coming Saturday, January 3, 2009 let me know. My treat to the crew!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!

Are Jose and I the only ones that can keep time? why was everyone but me under the impression that OZ was the 3rd? On the 22nd Jose wrote "next Saturday", which I thought meant the 27th. Since I couldn't get a hold of our admin right away, I started calling around the circle to find that everyone else thought it was the 3rd? How is "Next Saturday" the Saturday after the one that is coming up?!?!

So after I made the rounds calling people, I decided I must have been wrong and started making dinner only to have Jose call 30 minutes later and ask me if I was still going . $%!@$%$

WassupJose Anniversary

Today, December 24, 2008 marks the blogs 1-year anniversary. Something that started off as a vehicle to post the weekly themes became an outlet to post whatever (many classic posts too). Here is to another year of posting! Thanks everyone.

Chrome and WP

Google Chrome and WordPress do not mix. Specifically, when saving a post in WordPress all new paragraph breaks are removed creating one long block of text. The editor behaves as intended using IE and FF, could it be Chrome?

I have not had a chance to debug the issue, but at this point I do not really care because Chrome is not my primary browser. When Chrome gets updated, I may try editing posts with it again. Until then, do not use Chrome to post.

Christmas Cold …

Yes, the title is correct. I did not intend to write a Cold Christimas. When I got home from work, I noticed that I my nose was starting to run (and boy, is it tired ... haha!) and I had an itch in my throat. Wassup with that?

Well, late last night it got worse and now I have an official winter cold. I have not been sick all year and the day before Christmas, I come down with a cold. Nice timing. If were not for bad luck, I would have no luck at all.

Good Lord, that’s more expensive!

That's right Dave. I'll show you expensive! That's $197 at Ella's for our Anniversary. $80 in wine (I opted for the cheap stuff too!) and $80 in entrees. You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in Asia, but only slightly less well-known is this: Never challenge a fat man when food is on the line!

An OZ Holiday

I would like to invite the home boys and girls to OZ Korean BBQ for a holiday dinner. I was hoping to extend the invitation last week, but I got tied up with last minute shopping that it would not have worked out.

So, if the group is free next Saturday let me know. I am buying (yup, you heard right). Sum Yum can leave his Amex Ninja card at home. Doh, I forgot that Sum Yum is not free on the weekends now. Something about Sum Yum Gal.

Well, for those that can make it leave a comment, call, or send me an email. With all these lunch blunders this past week, I may just stop by on Wednesday and get my pre-grub on to hold me over until the weekend.

Kanye Lip-Synching

Ha. Supposedly the self-proclaimed voice of the new generation was caught lip-synching on Saturday Night Live. He is just another overrated, overexposed, hype created by the music industry. Priceless!

Arby’s Food Run?

Burger King, Long John Silver's, and who knows what is next. Has anyone seen the Arby's commercial pimping their Chicken Cordon Bleu and Mint Chocolate Swirl Shake? Hold that thought! I am not running to Arby's for a late snack.

Instead, just wanted to post that I like the commercial. My favorite part is when the Arby's hat "boings" over the guys head when his girl walks in with the tray of Arby's food. I think it is clever and funny, nice.
