Markup Plugin
Well, it appears the <code> tag in WordPress 2.7 still sucks! Gman suggested that I give the Code Markup plugin a try, so I will install it. The markup plugin is compatible with versions from 1.5 to 2.5.1 and "should also work with newer versions". Let's try it with version 2.7.

Short Weekend
What happened to the weekend? I slept in a bit on Saturday, ran a couple errands, went to dinner, and bam! it was 9:00pm. Today was similar, haircut, car wash, and a couple errands and now it is 10:00pm. Where did the time go?
Test Drive 2.7
As promised, I installed WordPress 2.7. The update is installed in a subdirectory, so we can test drive the new platform. I migrated select users and the sleepy template. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Oh, be sure to test the <code> tag.

Developer Rides
Yeah, yeah! I know that confident developers drive Dodge Neons, Toyota Prius', and Lexus IS300s. I know one developer that would roll a Bentley Continental GT. The one below was displayed at the Tokyo Auto Show. 800bhp and $800k, damn!

Version 2.7
Enough is enough. I have delayed the upgrade to WordPress 2.7 for too long, so I am going to install it tomorrow night. I will install it in a subfolder, so we can "kick the tires". Stayed tuned for more information.
Bailout Request
A friend is celebrating a birthday tomorrow and he wants a massage * wink, wink *. So, Sum Yum took it upon himself to solicit the group for contributions. He collected two-thirds of the massage fee, so we are close. If you can donate, please contact Sum Yum.
Consider this a massage bailout request. Your hard earned money will go towards a worthly and notable cause. Specifically, getting one of the homeboys a "massage". We are trying to collect a couple of Benjamins. Thank you.
Teabag Television
Ok, it is time for another WTF moment. I was reading my email when I heard "You're gonna love my nuts!" sounding off in the background. Is the television on the Teabag channel? No, it was a commercial for the "Slap Chop" dicer, slicer, and spicer. @0:55, nice!
Need a new build?
Need a new build on test? Sure. Let me click this button and update the DB.
Honestly, Don’t Be Such a Twat
I was in the restroom the other day and heard to guys talking briefly about how they've been trying to avoid the political content on TV. One of them suggested that he started listening to the Jazz station to get away from it all. But the thing that really got me is that he didn't even hear the whole inauguration speech and that he couldn't wait for "things to go back to normal." For fuck's sake man, I wouldn't have believed that a person could be so complacent if I hadn't heard it myself. I remember hearing similar comments during the week after 9/11. I was in college and people were upset their normal shows weren't on TV any longer and they couldn't get away from the news. I'm not a big political buff, but I at least have an understanding of what's going on in my world. You shouldn't be trying to avoid information on the future of our States, but rather seeking it out.
Even if you didn't vote for our new president, realize that it's an important event in the history of our nation. Don't be so eager to get back to your consumerism. Give me a break and watch the first decent presidential speech in 8 years. :/
Edit: Also...the inauguration was YESTERDAY. you think you could handle some imformation your notnormally used to for at least a day.
No More Tweets!
I signed up for Twitter a couple of months (weeks) ago, because it is another must-use tool to network. Well, I am already bored of the whole experience. I will continue to post, but I can see the end now. Yawn!
