CHP Watch
Beware. I saw six, count them six, CHP vehicles in a span of 2.3 miles (Distance compliments of Google Maps). Anyway, four of the six CHP had vehicles pulled over. Coincidence? I don't think so, something is up as CHP rarely patrols the specific area.
Is it time to rake in some revenue for the State? I see the occasional police, but CHP is not a common site. Well at least not six in such a short stretch of road. Keep your asses clean and your eyes open. Del Paso Road - Truxel Road.
Stop The Handouts
It all started with Bush and the reckless bailouts continue, WTF! Am I the ONLY one that is pissed off? We are getting screwed over big time. Let the companies file for bankruptcy or dissolve. Why does the government have to intervene?
These companies and greedy executives made !@#$%^ decisions in the name of greed, it is time for them to accept the consequences of their actions. Why am I pissed off? I just read that the government has agreed to bailout Citigroup for the 3rd time!
Let it dissolve and move on, why does the government seem to have such a vested interest in the bank? Could it be self-preservation of the rich, greedy, and corrupt? The government and media is NOT going to tell us the truth, get over it.
Vanity Plate II

Aquarium Tips
A couple of weeks ago, I purchased three aquariums. Why three? I always biggie size things and this is no different. Anyway, back to the aquarium tips. I have owned aquariums in the past, but forgot they really need proper care or they turn to crap.
There are MANY tips out there, so I will keep it short and to the point:
- Do not get an aquarium if you are not committed to the maintenance
- Do not over feed, because it clouds the tank and stinks like !@#$%^&
- Replace the water filters as recommended or at least wash them out
- Replace half (1/2) the water and clean the rocks at least once a month
- Ensure that new fish are compatible with your existing community
- Do not overstock aka "stock for the size and capacity of aquarium"
- Do not be a cheapo, buy the proper heaters, filters, etc as needed
Regarding the last tip, do it right and enjoy the aquarium and fish.
Weight Loss Secret
In an effort to reduce the total daily calorie intake, I am exercising, cutting out fast foods, and drinking more water. Little did I know that there is an alternative to plain, zero calorie water. Do not tell anyone, because it is a secret. Yup, diet water!

Notebook IV
Another HP notebook has failed, dammit. HP needs to get their !#$% together. The Pavilion notebook series appears to be a lemon! I have already had 3 notebooks repaired and this is number four. WTF is right.
Foreign Invasion
All of the blog spam received over the past two weeks originates in UK, Germany, or Russia, nice. WassupJose.com is being invaded by foreign spammers. I have added the individual IPs or ranges to the .htaccess, but really need an automated solution. "I'll be back!"
eBay Payment Method
Earlier this evening, I purchased a DVD from eBay. Not a news-worthy post by itself, but on checkout I noticed that the payment method defaulted to PayPal credit. WTF! I have both a confirmed bank account and credit card on file, wassup?

Has anyone else encountered the same issue? If I were not paying attention, I would have clicked the pay button and incurred a charge on a high-interest line of credit. Is someone up to sneaky tactics or was it just a fluke?
The Oscars 2008
I did not watch The Oscars, because like most award shows it has lost its novelty. I am only interested in the winners list. No boring red carpet fashion show or commentary. Just give me the results, no more and no less.
"Who let the dogs out!" Slumdog Millionaire put the smack down at The Oscars with wins in 8 categories. Wow! I will spare everyone the rest, but do want to state that I am pleased to see that Heath Ledger won supporting actor. Nice!
