iPhone IARB Edition
I was checking out some iPhone-related sites and stumbled on this gem (pun intended). It is an iPhone 3G 24 carat Full Gold Edition. I guess the recession is over, time to buy that IARB edition mobile phone. I can't, because I have to pay off a high interest Chase credit card.

Rolling…
Through stop signs. That bastard cop had nothing better to do than catch me driving through a deserted intersection and rolling through it at 3-4mph. Thanks! Way to keep us safe.
If that wasn't bad enough. The ticket was $204. Plus $56 for traffic school since it was a moving violation. Plus the $16.70 for using my credit card. Plus whatever it costs to attend traffic school.
Awesome.
Outlet Store Prices
Attention shoppers! We do NOT have great prices at the outlet stores. I took the bait and drove to the nearest outlet stores to check out the goods. I was hoping to find great deals on clothing, but instead found limited selections at above discounted retail prices.
For example, a men's dress shirt that retails for $40.00 sells for $24.99 at the outlet mall and $19.99 or less at a major retailer. Same brand, same quality (60%-40% blend), and color. Why are many outlet prices higher than discounted retail prices?
I am taking a guess here, because I do NOT know. I assume the inventory sold at the outlet stores are overstock, discontinued, or grade "B" items. If so, I would expect these items to be discounted well below retail prices. Am I missing something here?
Jesus Sighting
Jesus was sighted in Florida. The trailer trash state Senate approves religous license plates, including one with Jesus. I thought government and religion do not mix? How the hell did it pass? What next? Anti-religion plates? Another example of idiotic politicians and their antics.

Move Over Prius
Check it out! Ford is ready to up the ante on hybrid automobiles. A stock 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid has just set a world record with 1,445 miles on ONE tank of gas! The car averaged a cool 81.5 MPG. Who is next? I am sure we can (or have already) pass the 100 MPG mark.
I just hope the government and special interest groups (read big oil) do not squash future efforts. If you recall, government and big oil killed off several initiatives in the past. I trust that I do not have to explain, it should be obvious.

Sexy Feet
Check out the top search terms used to land here! Before anyone says one word, it is NOT me searching Google and landing on this blog. Also, 92 views in the past couple months isn't a big deal, but "Sexy Feet" ranks number one. Ha!

Code Comments
This post is not about how important it is to comment your code. We all know the benefits of well written comments. Instead, I stumbled on this gem. I would post it here, but we all know the WordPress code tag sucks. Excerpt:
At this point, I'd like to take a moment to speak to you about the Adobe PSD format.
PSD is not a good format. PSD is not even a bad format. Calling it such would be an
insult to other bad formats, such as PCX or JPEG. No, PSD is an abysmal format.
Having worked on this code for several weeks now, my hate for PSD has grown to a raging fire that burns with the fierce passion of a million suns. [more]
BTW, there are many classic WTFs on Google Code. I think the best comments I have seen to date are from a consulting company out of Texas that cursed out the clients and other consultants. Morons, everyone and their mother can read your comments!
Facebook Time Off
We need to rename Personal Time Off (PTO) to Facebook Time Off (FTO). Ha! Apparently, a woman was too sick to work but was caught surfing on Facebook. What happens next is no surprise. Employer fires Facebook surfing employee.
This reminds me of a great story. I worked with a woman (first name starts with a "J") that went out on leave due to a work related injury. Fair enough. A couple weeks pass and who comes strolling into the company Christmas party?
You guessed it? She was all over the dance floor, dropping it like it was hot. Did Ms. "J" get fired or investigated for insurance fraud? No! The labor union protected her ass. As far as I know, she is still working for said employer.

Virtual PC Limitation
I have had a good experience using Microsoft Virtual PC. Today, I learn it doesn't have USB support. What the heck! USB support should be a core feature, wassup? I am going back to VirtualBox. If you need USB support, use VirtualBox and skip the Virtual PC headache.
