Hummer For Sale!

Not the truck, but the brand! We all know that GM is planning to file soon (I don't want to say I told them so, but I told them so) and part of their restructuring plan does not include the Hummer brand. If anyone is interested, please contact Government Motors. Ha!

Alien Invasion

Stop! This post is not about illegal aliens. Instead, it is about the Android operating system. A couple days ago, I published a post regarding Android-based netbooks. My initial thought was the netbooks would promote the adoption of Android by other manufacturers.

Today, I read an article, “Google: Expect 18 Android Phones by Year’s End”. Wow, eighteen phones! I am not sure if I am surprised or not, but it looks like Android is here to stay. The alien invasion known as Android is on the move. Stay tuned!

Search Terms

As promised, I am posting the search terms for week ending Friday, May 29, 2009. I removed all of the non-feet related terms, so I can highlight the following. Prior weeks search terms are as interesting. Nice.

Texas Spy Cameras

This is disturbing news, "Texas Senate Endorses Freeway Spy Cameras". Read the arguments from proponents of the bill, lame played out reasons. Texans can thank Senator Tommy "Lil Bush" Williams (R-The Woodlands) for drafting the crap.

The Texas state Senate voted Monday to give federal, state and local authorities the ability to track and identify every passing vehicle on state highways.

World Of Goo Source Code Framework Available

Remember how jealous I was of the accomplishment of World of Goo developer 2DBoy?

Well they've opened up their source code and made it even easier for you to copy and paste! Written in C++ you have full rights to do what you wish with the source. What a tempting offer. My C++ skills are well diminished at this point, but its such a tempting offer.

Honda Hover Car

Just like most times, I "stumbled" on an article about the Honda Fuzo concept car. It is not an actual working model, but a design for a hover car submitted to Honda. I would not be a bit surprised if this concept became a reality in a few years.

We certainly have the technology to build such vehicles; we just need auto makers to lead the efforts and governments to get the hell out of the way. This makes an Electric Hummer look insignificant. Which auto maker will revolutionize the industry?

Wal-Mart Airlines

There is no Wal-Mart Airlines, but the title is catchy and fitting for this post. Jet America is the new cowboy on the block. Big deal is right; the "discount" airline is offering 9 seats for $9.00 dollars on every flight. WTF! is right.

It will cost me more than $9.00 to drive to the Bay Area. I understand that not all seats are $9.00, but what a deal for the first lucky 9 passengers to book a ticket. I have zero details on the airline, but the "in-your-face" price caught my attention! Check them out.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we did not get our OZ BBQ on this past weekend. I have confirmation from a couple of regulars, so I thought I would post an update. If you are FREE this coming Saturday, please join us for some Korean BBQ. Same time, same place, nice!

Theme Change

When I setup the blog, I chose the "Sleepy Blue" theme you see here. Well, it is time for a change. I like the fixed-width layout and menu on the right-hand side, but the color pallet has worn on me.

I think I am going to purchase a premium theme and extend it with a custom header. If you have any suggestions regarding the color pallet, width, columns, menu, widgets, etc. leave a comment. Lastly, keep an eye out for theme previews, updated plugins, and more.

10 Minute Mail Update

I just used 10 minute mail to "sign up" for a "free" service! I used to use a catchall account on Yahoo! for this purpose, but it is a total mess and infested with endless spam. The funny part is the sites state that they will not spam, sell, or lease the email. Right! Thanks Gman!
