Redbox Streaming Video

Just read a post on Yahoo! News about Redbox. Apparently, Redbox surveyed its customers to rate their interest in a streaming video service ala Netflix. Does Redbox plan on entering the space and competing head-to-head with Netflix?

There is no information about release dates, supported platforms, or film selection but the service will be priced at $3.95 and include four kiosk rentals. Damn! Where do I sign up for the beta? Stay tuned for updates.

Foursquare for Windows

I was checking out the new projects on CodePlex and found an interesting project for the mobile developers out there. iPhone and Android are the hottest platforms at the moment, but I stumbled on a great Windows Phone 7 project.

Foursquare for Windows Phone 7 is a complete example of a Windows mobile solution. The initial code was imported on March 29th, so the project is fairly new. Thanks to Touchality for sharing the project with the open source community. Nice!

EVO 4G Developer Guide

Ha! The things one finds on the Internet are never ending. Anyway, for those mobile heads interested in learning more about the HTC EVO 4G, I found a copy of the Developer's Guide (v 0.11) hosted on Google Docs. It appears to have been published last week. Late again!

Note that the published version is by no means an exhaustive guide, but does contain some interesting information. Specifically, detecting the network types, using HDMI output, and using other features. Check out the Sprint Development page for more information.

Fired Photographer

It is a done deal. I fired the photographer that shot the initial sets for the website. Most of the sets are out of focus and over exposed, what the hell! I needed a second opinion, so I paid two professional photographers to critique the photos.

Damn! Both had nothing but BAD things to say about the photo sets. One even commented that the photographer produced below average work and should QUIT the profession. The photos are pretty bad. Well, time for a do over. Stay tuned for an update.

We Have A Winner

Yo! I published the casting call for Luigi last night and today we have a winner! It looks like Gman and Wassup Jose are doing the Sum Yum Do dance dressed as Mario and Luigi. We are going to split two Benjamins. Crap! Now I have to Sum Yum Do my ass off on video. Nice!

Well, as soon as the other two videos are published it is on. One of the conditions was that the other two videos get shot and published, before I drop it like it is hot. Btw, I found the costumes on Amazon and will buy the gear. Who has an HD video camera?

Quick Kudos

I talk shit about everything and anything most of the time, so I want to change it up today and give kudos to two products. First, Pandora Radio for being a great service. I create my stations, sit back, and listen for hours while I work. Use QuickMix for a nice variety.

It pains me to give kudos to this next product, but the product is pretty solid. Hold on to your hats people! AT&T U-Verse costs an arm and a leg, but it has been reliable and their caller ID and DVR updates are nice. Yup, just gave AT&T kudos. The world is ending!

Not so fast Ricky Racer! I do have a minor complaint about Pandora Radio. If you are using the free version, one can advance to the next song only several times per hour. Boo! Also, I noticed higher than desired repeats on some stations. Other than that, it is great.

Wassup Productions

Wassup Productions in the house! I have signed a small group to do the Sum Yum Do dance in public! Yup, you heard that shit right. We have confirmed 4-5 dancers and hope to sign a dirty dozen. I have been talking about it for a while. No more, $$$ talks and bullshit walks!

Wait, I am NOT finished yet. While wheeling and dealing to shoot the video, I had the tables turned on me. Mofos! I have been dared (paid) to do the same in a Mario costume, son of a bitch! Now casting for the part of Luigi to do the Sum Yum Do dance. $$$.

Gaga Dance

Do my eyes deceive me? I just watched Lady Gaga's Telephone video for the millionth time and just noticed that she is doing the Sum Yum Do dance. Watch from 3:38 to 4:03. What do you think? Am I losing it?

Go Sum Yum! Part II

Earlier, I watched Turk dancing to Rapper's Delight and it reminded me of the MM dance. If you recall, I offered Ninja some $$$$ to do the dance on video but no luck! Well, I am going to try it again. Ninja, will you do the dance on video?

If not, I have a backup plan. What the hell are you talking about Wassup Jose? I am going to post the request on other blogs, forums, etc. Someone is going to do the dance on video, dammit! Anyone? Oh look, I found someone to make the video!

Rescue CD List

Yesterday, I published a blurb about the AVG Rescue CD. Here are some other solutions, in case you want to kick the tires. There are others, but I think they are commercial systems (i.e. paid). I am cheap mofo, so I use the freebies to get my system restore on.
