RIM BlackPad
Here is another tablet PC related post. Research In Motion (RIM) plans to launch their own tablet PC in November. The tablet will have similar specifications as the iPad, but will have a 9.7" inch high resolution screen.
The RIM BlackPad will run the BlackBerry OS 6 operating system and is 'rumored' to include both front and rear cameras. The tablet will offer both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, but no cellular network option. Alright, who will be next?
Update: the BlackPad will be available with a 7.0" inch screen, 1GHz processor, 2 cameras, and offer Flash 10.1 support out-of-the-box.
Martians Spotted at Kmart
Kmart is advertising an Android powered tablet in their weekly circular. If you just dropped a WTF, you are not alone. Anyway, the Gentouch 7" tablet is on sale through tomorrow and sells for $149.99 plus tax. Check out the product features below.

WordPress 3.0.1
WordPress users, it is time to upgrade again! Maintenance release v3.0.1 was made available earlier today and includes 51 defect fixes and 4 enhancements. Before I continue, kudos to the WordPress team for making the upgrade process a snap.
I used to hate upgrading and now, I just click one button and I am done. Oh, and for those that have not noticed. The website is placed in maintenance mode during the upgrade and returned to normal when the upgrade is complete. Nice!
Smelly Pirate Hooker
Harry Hanrahan aka HH aka HH1Edits (YouTube) has released another video. He published a compilation of "The 100 Greatest Movie Insults of All Time." Warning! The video is NOT safe for work, so keep it on the down low or pop in the earbuds.
The video captures many classic insults, but some of my favorites appear to be missing from the list. Anyway, sit back, relax, and enjoy 10 minutes of insults from some of your favorite movies. Haha!
Volt Prediction
GM has announced pricing of the Volt. Are you ready? The base model price is $41,000 and the fully loaded model is a whopping $44,600. Are you kidding? I can purchase a fully loaded Toyota Prius for $15,000 less. Why should consumers buy a Volt?
Here is a prediction. GM will rely heavily on the $7,500 federal tax credit to pimp the Volt to consumers. The 18-month "pilot" program will sell less than 10,000 cars. General Motors will discontinue the model or cancel the national rollout. Any bets?
Google Music
Our favorite Mountain View based technology company is planning to launch its own digital music download service. Yup, Google is entering the music market and will compete head-to-head with iTunes, Amazon, and others.
Apparently, Google is trying to fast track the music store for a December launch. Hmm, did we get a sneak preview at Google I/O 2010? Do not know what I am referring to? Watch the keynote and pay attention to the music service demonstration. Google Music coming soon!
Where Are They Now? Part II
It is time for another installment of "Where Are They Now?" Every once in a while, I check on domain names I used to own to see if they have been developed into websites or ended up with a domain name squatter.
Where is iBooties.com? I registered the domain name on July 7, 2006 and let it drop in July 2009. It appears the domain name has been registered by a squatter who is asking $1395.00 USD for it. Yeah right, good luck with that one.
White iPhone 4 Delayed
During the iPhone 4 Press Conference, Jobs announced that the White iPhone 4 would be available by the end of July. Well, it appears plans have changed. Read the statement from Apple below. The availability date is unknown at this time.
White models of Apple’s new iPhone® 4 have continued to be more challenging to manufacture than we originally expected, and as a result they will not be available until later this year. The availability of the more popular iPhone 4 black models is not affected.
Ear Juice
The title sounds gross, but it is not what you think or maybe it is. I stumbled on a beverage with an "interesting" Chinglish translation. It is a drink named, "The Jew's Ear Juice". Hmm, I am afraid to ask what it contains but I will take one on the rocks. Bottoms up!
