The owner of the Segway company passed away. He fell off a cliff while test driving a cross-country version of the transporter. I learned of the news on the George Lopez show, but I wanted to confirm just to make sure. The story is sad, but true.
Iron Man 2 DVD
Hmmm, it looks like Iron Man 2 has made its way to DVD. Two editions go on sale tomorrow, Tuesday, September 28th, 2010. I missed the movie on the big screen, but I may catch it on a rental. Oh, the available editions are a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack and a 2-disc DVD set.
Apple Backpedals
Ha! I just read that Apple backpedaled on its decision to disallow the use of cross platform development tools. It looks like "someone's" tight ass is relaxing for the time being, so take advantage of it. Apple is publishing the App Store Review Guidelines too. What a concept!
We are continually trying to make the App Store even better. We have listened to our developers and taken much of their feedback to heart. Based on their input, today we are making some important changes to our iOS Developer Program license in sections 3.3.1, 3.3.2 and 3.3.9 to relax some restrictions we put in place earlier this year.
In particular, we are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code. This should give developers the flexibility they want, while preserving the security we need.
Crazy Fast Chevy II
Check out Larry Larson's awesome 6.95 second quarter mile run. The run was filmed at Hot Rod Drag Week 2010 last week. The crazy fast Chevy II averaged 7.0725. Jeff Lutz was not far behind with an average of 7.1848. Damn!

Time To Fly The Coop
I just read that Chris Wilson, long-time Microsoft employee and IE architect, has jumped off the Microsoft ship for the big "G" aka Google. Kapow! Apparently, Wilson has a 1-year non-compete, so do not expect him to work on Chrome anytime soon. Nice move.
As I reached the conclusion that I’d helped IE along as much as I could, I felt it was a good time to reassess where I ultimately want to go with my career, and I realized that I really needed to stretch my wings beyond Microsoft.

It is official; Lackluster Video has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. Will the company live to rent another day? I guess only time will tell. Oh, check out the comment I stumbled on at Engadget. Time to put an "L" up in the air. LAME!

NO LATE FEES! what more could you want? instead of late fees, we implemented a fine for overdue products and charged your credit card for the purchase of the movie so that we could give you the movie instead of you having to waste gas to drive to the store and buy it.
instead of giving you the option to have a movie for one day for $1 like many independent rental stores, we only give the option for having a movie for a week. this gives you more time to watch it for only $6 per movie.

In June, I found Waldo in UK via Google. Now, he has turned up in Oregon. What the heck is he doing in Oregon? Apparently, Waldo was robbing the Tualatin Key Bank. If you see the suspect, contact the Police.
