If you own a General Motors vehicle with OnStar, this post is for you. OnStar is updating its Privacy Statement to allow selling of your private data. Also, OnStar will continue to collect data even if you do not have an OnStar plan. WTF!
Read the Privacy Statement and then call OnStar to deactivate the data collection. You do have a choice, so exercise it. I do not own a GM product, else I would call OnStar and tell them to pound sand! #Fail
Unless the Data Connection to your Vehicle is deactivated, data about your Vehicle will continue to be collected even if you do not have a Plan. It is important that you convey this to other drivers, occupants, or subsequent owners of your Vehicle. You may deactivate the Data Connection to your Vehicle at any time by contacting an OnStar Advisor.

News from the Netflix blog. Netflix is splitting its streaming and DVD by mail services. Netflix plans to rename its DVD by mail service to Qwikster. Netflix will stay as-is for streaming. The two services will operate independently. Prices will not change.
2012 Prius Plug-in Hybrid
Toyota announced the 2012 Prius Plug-in Hybrid at the Green Drive Expo in Richmond. The new Prius model introduces an Extended Electric Range, Selectable Electric Vehicle Mode, Standard Home Charging, 87 MPG (combined) and 49 MPG (hybrid). Read the press release.
