The following is not a rant, instead it is a question. Kid, kid, kid. Why do some parents refer to their children as kids? I think it sounds a bit detached and impersonal but what the heck do I know. "Continued after the break". Ha, always wanted to sneak that phrase in.
Read the following examples, "I am going to take my son to see a movie." versus "I am going to take my kid to see a movie." Here is another, "I need to feed my son." versus "I need to feed my kid." Doesn't the use of "kid" have an odd sense about it or is it just me?
