Hummer for Sale Again!
Yawn! Hummer is on the market again. If you recall, GM sold the Hummer brand to Sichuan Tengzhong of China. Well, the deal fell through and GM plans to shut down the line. If you ever dreamed of owning your own automotive brand, contact General Motors now.
The original deal with Sichuan Tengzhong was valued at 150 million, but think you can score a nice deal. I am not holding my breath for GM to find another buyer. I think it's the end of another car line. I wonder how that Hybrid Hummer is coming along.
Hybrid Honda
Check out what Honda is pimping at the Tokyo Motor Show 2009. The Honda CR-Z concept aka the 2011 Honda CR-Z Hybrid Sports Coupe. This is going to be the first hybrid sports car to make it to production. If Honda prices it at 25k, it will sell like crack!
I recall seeing the "original" concept a couple years ago and now, I read that it is going to production. Honda is all over the hybrid technologies. My next car is definitely a Honda or Toyota, period! The front end and LED lights remind me of the Audi R8, nice!
Final Orbit
Have you seen the lame Saturn commercial where the Saturn employee boasts that Saturn knows how to build cars, etc? Well, it appears that nobody wants to buy their automobiles as GM has just kicked them to the curb and is shutting down the automobile line.
Can GM find a buyer at the last minute ala the Hummer deal? Bueller, Bueller? I think it is a done deal, so kiss another automobile line goodbye. I wonder if the Saturn dealer franchise is going to liquidate inventories like Dodge? If so, wait a few weeks and buy a Saturn!
Hot Hybrid
All aboard the bandwagon! Every manufacturer has or is jumping on hybrid technologies. It is about damn time, because we need to look for alternate fuels and get out of the strong arm grasp of big oil.
Anyway, check out the BMW concept shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show. MPG is a modest 62.5 and can reach 62 mph in under 5 seconds. No more concept cars, we want to see the real deal. Hmm, I wonder how that Hybrid Hummer is coming along?
Parallel Parking
Earlier this evening, I was rollin' as I saw a woman trying to parallel park her car. She spent 2-3 minutes trying to park her compact car in a parking space two times the length of her car. She could have driven straight in given the amount of available space.
By the way, she is not a blonde. Ha! I think parallel parking is one of those skills that either one can or cannot master. Another reason I was rollin' was because it reminded me of the time I went to lunch with Kman. He jammed his car onto the curb with mad skills. Nice!
H2O Power!
H2O power, fact or fiction? Genepax Co. Ltd. has developed a new technology, which uses water as fuel. This is not the first time I have read reports of "H2O-powered" automobiles, but it's an interesting topic nonetheless.
Check out the video and articles for more information. I should note that some automotive resources claim the automobile is not powered by H2O as claimed, but powered by hydride (hydrogen is produced via a chemical reaction of metal hydride and water).
Dodge Deals
If you are in the market for a new automobile and insist on buying American, take a look at Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep. Why? Remember all of the dealers that got the boot? Well, they have until June 9th to sell their inventories. Period!
After June 9th, the dealers cannot legally sell the brand. Dealers are cutting up to 40% off the sticker prices. Hurry, because time is ticking! Typically, one should not buy cars on the weekend or beginning of the month but this is an exception. Get your butt out there!
Hummer Sold!
Damn! I have to admit that I thought the brand was headed straight for the curb. Instead, it has been sold to Sichuan Tengzhong of China. I am sure the UAW are happy about the sale, considering the mofos are partly responsible for the bankruptcy.
Government Motors
For those interested, below is the "ownership" breakdown of Government Motors. Yup, we the taxpayers own %60 of the company. Before you runoff thinking you actually "own" the company, check yourself at the door. We are not getting crap!
Hummer For Sale!
Not the truck, but the brand! We all know that GM is planning to file soon (I don't want to say I told them so, but I told them so) and part of their restructuring plan does not include the Hummer brand. If anyone is interested, please contact Government Motors. Ha!
