It is time for another installment of "Where Are They Now?" Every once in a while, I check on domain names I used to own to see if they have been developed into websites or ended up with a domain name squatter.

Where is iBooties.com? I registered the domain name on July 7, 2006 and let it drop in July 2009. It appears the domain name has been registered by a squatter who is asking $1395.00 USD for it. Yeah right, good luck with that one.

Sum Ting Wong

I was going to write a mini review on Little Dragon Restaurant, but found a couple on Yelp which pretty much sum it up. Check out the 1 & 2 star reviews and return for more detail and the Wassup Jose rating.

The restaurant does have an overpowering smell of urine or mold. I talk a lot of smack, but believe me on this one. I do not screw around when it comes to food. The restaurant staff is friendly, service is fast, but the smell ruins everything.

I do not know where the odor originates, but someone needs to address it. Also, I cannot believe other Yelp reviewers did not mention the odor. The reviewers must have had their head up their ass. No need to continue, odor equals a 1 star rating. Boo!

Carl’s Foot-Long Burger

Move over Subway, Carl's Jr. is testing their own foot-long sandwich. Yup, Carl's Jr. is using SoCal as a testing ground for their new foot-long cheeseburger. I love burgers just as much as the next person, but just looking at this makes my ass hurt!

I could not find details of the foot-long burger on the Carl's Jr. website, but the sandwich appears to have three beef patties, cheese, and all the goodies. The sandwich is priced at $4.00 for plain and $4.50 for deluxe (add $2.50 for combo meals).

Do not disturb. World Cup Match for 3rd place and the Hooters 2010 International Swimsuit Pageant air today. Grab a drink, some chips and salsa, or whatever and get your TV on. Oh, check out some photo shoots from the pageant. Move over, I am taking one for the team!

Domain Fee Increase

Great, I just learned that VeriSign has increased the registration and renewal fees for .com and .net domains. If you are rolling in the dough, it is no big deal but for small time folk like me a 7%-10% fee increase is a pain in the ass.

As of July 1, 2010 the registration, renewal, and transfer fees for .com domains is $7.34 (7% increase). The fee for .net domains is now $4.65 (10% increase). Repeat after me. "VeriSign monopoly!"

Hosts File Gotcha

If you are using a hosts file to block ads, banners, cookies, etc. and are experiencing issues with GoDaddy Webmail, listen up. Does the Webmail client render incorrectly? If so, it might be because you are blocking the GoDaddy image server.

Check your hosts file for imagesak.secureserver.net. If you are blocking the host, comment it out and try again. The host is widely associated with the GoDaddy parking service, but it also serves key files used by Webmail and other GoDaddy pages. End PSA.

Fiverr Clones

It was bound to happen. Fiverr clones are popping up all over the place. Some Fiverr clones mixed it up and developed their own 'niche'. Others said, "Screw it. I have no shame, copy everything!" The clone below copied Fiverr's terms of service (word for word) too. Lame!

WWDC Videos

I received an email from Apple (No, I am NOT a closet fanboy). Anyway, Apple is offering all registered Apple Developers free access to session videos from WWDC 2010. I did not attend the conference, so I might check out the videos.

This is a change from prior years where videos were only available to conference attendees or premier members. All is not good news, I cannot login. What the heck? I wonder if all the Apple Fanboy posts got me blacklisted. Haha!
