Labor Day
Hope everyone enjoyed the three day weekend. Someone asked me what Labor Day was all about. My quick definition is "Labor Day is a tribute to the American worker.", but there is more to it. Below is a snippet from the Department of Labor.
Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Apple iResign
Below is the resignation letter Steve Jobs sent to the Apple Board of Directors. The letter is also known as the Apple "iResign".
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.

Barack Hussein Obama is celebrating a birthday today. The Golden Boy was born on August 4, 1961. Since he was born in Hawaii *wink*, let us celebrate with the theme music from the "Hawaii Five-O" drama series. Happy Birthday Barack!
