Casey Anthony Rubber Mask

Check it out. Someone listed a Casey Anthony latex rubber mask on eBay. According to the item description, the mask is one of nine made for a parody video. Whatever. The question of the day is, "Who the fuck would pay $999,900.00 dollars for the mask?" FAIL!

eHarmony Video Bios

Have you watched any of the endless eHarmony video bios on YouTube? I am tired of these stupid things. One moron starts it and the copycat train is not far behind. The novelty has worn off people. Below is one of the (fake) video bios.

Comic-Con 2011

Comic-Con is back! The annual event is under way at the San Diego Convention Center. The convention starts today and runs through Sunday. I do not need to tell the folks that are in attendance of course. The news of the day? Voltron is coming to the big screen. Nice.

Relativity Media's President of Worldwide Production Tucker Tooley announced today the studio has optioned the feature film rights for Voltron: Defender of the Universe from World Event Productions, and will adapt the live-action big screen version from the 1984 cult-classic animated series Voltron: Defender of the Universe.

Borders Closing

Put a book in it, because Borders is closing its remaining stores. The 2nd largest book chain has called it quits and will begin to liquidate stores as early as this Friday. The book retailer will close 399 stores and cut 10,700 jobs.

"Following the best efforts of all parties, we are saddened by this development," Mike Edwards, Borders' president, said in a statement. "The headwinds we have been facing for quite some time, including the rapidly changing book industry, e-reader revolution, and turbulent economy, have brought us to where we are now."

Free Slurpees

Did you score a free Slurpee today? 7-Eleven convenience stores gave away free 7.11 ounce Slurpees today to mark the chains "birthday". The chain expects to give away a whopping 5 million (yes, million) frozen drinks. I missed out on the freebies, maybe next year.

Yo Quiero WiFi

Look, WiFi is coming to your local Taco Bell. I don't use WiFi in restaurants, book stores, or coffee shops but am posting the news for folks that want to get their web on while dining at the border. Nice.

DALLAS, TX. June 29, 2011-Taco Bell Corp. and Indoor Direct, Inc., owner of The Restaurant Entertainment Network, have reached a long-term agreement to be the first to install in-store television network and free Wi-Fi solutions in all 5,600 Taco Bell locations throughout the United States. After the 5,600 locations are installed by 2015, The Restaurant Entertainment Network will reach approximately 48 million Taco Bell customers each month. Each location will have The Restaurant Entertainment Network installed, which consists of a point of sale and dining room network plus installation of free Wi-Fi for guests.
