Terrifying Tuesday

I knew if I waited long enough Paranormal Activity would be released on DVD. Well, it is out today! I missed the theater release, because I could not find anyone to go with and wasn't going to do the solo visit. Now, I can push cotton in the comfort of my own place.

I am not ready to buy a copy, so I will rent it and post a mini-review. If it is as scary as the reviews lead me to believe, I should enjoy the movie. Crap, it is late and might not make it to the local video rental tonight. I will rent a copy tomorrow, nice!

Iron Man 2 Trailer

Marvel has released the official trailer for the upcoming Iron Man sequel. Although I am no fan of Robert Downey, I did like the first installment. Terrance Howard was horrible in the first one and am glad that he is sitting this one out (kicked to the curb over $$$ issues).

If you have not seen the trailer, check it out. I hope the movie is better than the mediocre trailer; else I am going to sit this one out and wait for the movie to be released on DVD. Let me know what you think of the trailer. It looks like a $1.00 Redbox rental to me.

No Relation

Haha! I got the smack down for comparing Paranormal Activity and Saw VI. Actually, what I wanted to communicate is that Saw VI was expected to be a blockbuster release this past weekend, but got kicked to the curb by the low-budget horror flick.

I think it is quite an accomplishment, because Paranormal is on its 5th week and is showing in fewer theaters than most new releases. Regarding the "comparison", there is none. Saw has its own cult following, after all it is number SIX. Can we say "Milk it like Milkman?"

Paranormal Sales

Okay, now I really want to see Paranormal Activity. The movie biatch slapped the new Saw release with a weekend gross of $22M compared to Saw's anemic $14M. Paranormal Activity raked in major Benjamins showing in 1091 fewer theaters than Saw too. Kapow!!!

Paranormal Activity

Yo! Have the homies seen Paranormal Activity? I keep hearing the radio ads and reading the outrageous reviews, but I have not found one reliable resource to tell me if it is all hype or it truly is a "crap your pants" scary movie.

I am not much of a scary movie fan, but the hype has caught my attention. A couple weeks ago, friends and family saw it and told me they were so scared that they walked out of the theater. Yeah, but they get scared of their own shadows so it does not count.

If you have seen this movie, let me know if it is a "cotton pusher". If you have not seen the movie and want to see it, holla! I will buy the movie tickets and goodies. I prefer to go with a group versus going alone.

Office Space Classic

I caught the last half of Office Space on cable television, nice. One of my favorite quotes is "I'm thinking I might take that new chick from Logistics. If things go well I might be showing her my O-face. Oh... Oh... Oh! You know what I'm talkin' about. Oh!"

Office Space is classic cheese, but I catch when it airs on television. Check out the poker face expressions on the other faces. Cold as ice. I would have been rolling on the ground busting a nut. ROTFLMAO!

The Oscars 2008

I did not watch The Oscars, because like most award shows it has lost its novelty. I am only interested in the winners list. No boring red carpet fashion show or commentary. Just give me the results, no more and no less.

"Who let the dogs out!" Slumdog Millionaire put the smack down at The Oscars with wins in 8 categories. Wow! I will spare everyone the rest, but do want to state that I am pleased to see that Heath Ledger won supporting actor. Nice!

Movie Moments

I went to the movies this evening, but could not enjoy it because certain individuals would not shut their !#$%^& mouths! Non-stop commentary from the back row and talking on the cell phone. Poster models for the loud, rude, and ignorant.

Our society stereo-types based on the actions of a few, well those few ruin it for many all the time. I am sure you can guess the race of the mofos, just based on the first sentence of the post. Waste of money and evening, thanks idiots!

Dark Knight

I watched The Dark Knight for the fourth time. What a great movie, but it has some cheesy moments. Batman's voice sounds horrible and in most scenes it appears like he is wearing a mouth piece or something. Take the cotton out of your mouth, lame.

The second is even lamer. When the Joker escapes from the County jail and is seen in the back of the police car, viewers "should" be able to see the fake looking background. Lame green screen effects here, minus 10 points. Boo!

Another cheesy effect it how Harvey Dent's hair is neatly parted after the accident. I can see the hospital shaving his head if he went through with the surgery, but he refused it. So what is up with the hair? Other than that (for now), I like it.

Knight Rider Movie

Ok, curiosity got the best of me. I watched the trailers on YouTube weeks ago and tonight I watched the two-hour premiere of the Knight Rider movie on NBC. Well, it was not great and it was not bad. How is that for commitment?

The only reason I watched the movie was to see the Ford Mustang-based KITT. For the old skool KITT fans, we know the original KITT was an '82 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The black Mustang looked hot, but it seemed out of place in the movie.

I, for one, believe that KITT was the star of the show. Hasselhoff was a supporting actor in the series! Okay, back to the Mustang. I did not like the double-decker wing or the stripes on the car. Also, missing were the digital dash and Turbo Boost features ... boo!

The Mustang is a Ford icon, but it cannot replace the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for KITT. I think a 5th-generation Firebird Trans Am would have been a better choice, but again what do I know? Oh, Hasselhoff had a cameo as Michael Knight ... of course.
