Milkman: Special Edition 3D

Avatar hits theaters tomorrow, Friday, August 27th. No, we did not travel back in time. The movie is returning to theaters with new scenes and additional footage (8 minutes). The re-release will be available for a "limited" time or until it earns another $3.0 billion. Ha!

On August 27, return to Pandora and re-experience James Cameron's History-Making Epic film, with more than Eight Minutes of Never Before Seen Footage- exclusively in Digital 3D and IMAX® 3D. Since - and largely as of result of - AVATAR's release last December, the number of available digital 3D screens has exploded, and moviegoers who missed experiencing the film in 3D, as well as fans that want to return to Pandora again, will now have that opportunity.

Chorizo Tacos

Haha! When Land of the Lost (2009) came out, I decided to pass and wait for the DVD. Well, I do not know if the movie was released on DVD, but I just caught it on cable. Surprise. The movie was not bad (considering I am pickier than a mofo).

I am not much of a Will Ferrell fan, but I liked the movie. Goofy science fiction with several crack up moments. Below is one of my favorite scenes aka "Chorizo Tacos". The scene just before this one is funny too. Check YouTube for more clips and decide for yourself.

DVD Tuesday

I bet many of you do not know why music and DVDs are released on Tuesdays. If this is you, better Google that shit so you are in the know. Anyway, is there anything worth renting or buying this week? Nope, just leftovers the studios are trying to milk for more money.

If you're a Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson fan, you might want to check out his 2010 yawner, "Tooth Fairy". I think I am going to pass. Oh, check it out. I found a couple of DVD release sites, which monetize the listings via Amazon affiliates. Cheesy. Whatever works.

Netflix on Wii

I have been reading about this for a while and yesterday at exactly 12:01AM (nice job, even if the blog post was pre-scheduled), Netflix officially announced that they are shipping the streaming discs for the Wii console. Where's the popcorn? Time to stream a movie!

Terrifying Tuesday

I knew if I waited long enough Paranormal Activity would be released on DVD. Well, it is out today! I missed the theater release, because I could not find anyone to go with and wasn't going to do the solo visit. Now, I can push cotton in the comfort of my own place.

I am not ready to buy a copy, so I will rent it and post a mini-review. If it is as scary as the reviews lead me to believe, I should enjoy the movie. Crap, it is late and might not make it to the local video rental tonight. I will rent a copy tomorrow, nice!

Iron Man 2 Trailer

Marvel has released the official trailer for the upcoming Iron Man sequel. Although I am no fan of Robert Downey, I did like the first installment. Terrance Howard was horrible in the first one and am glad that he is sitting this one out (kicked to the curb over $$$ issues).

If you have not seen the trailer, check it out. I hope the movie is better than the mediocre trailer; else I am going to sit this one out and wait for the movie to be released on DVD. Let me know what you think of the trailer. It looks like a $1.00 Redbox rental to me.

No Relation

Haha! I got the smack down for comparing Paranormal Activity and Saw VI. Actually, what I wanted to communicate is that Saw VI was expected to be a blockbuster release this past weekend, but got kicked to the curb by the low-budget horror flick.

I think it is quite an accomplishment, because Paranormal is on its 5th week and is showing in fewer theaters than most new releases. Regarding the "comparison", there is none. Saw has its own cult following, after all it is number SIX. Can we say "Milk it like Milkman?"

Paranormal Sales

Okay, now I really want to see Paranormal Activity. The movie biatch slapped the new Saw release with a weekend gross of $22M compared to Saw's anemic $14M. Paranormal Activity raked in major Benjamins showing in 1091 fewer theaters than Saw too. Kapow!!!

Paranormal Activity

Yo! Have the homies seen Paranormal Activity? I keep hearing the radio ads and reading the outrageous reviews, but I have not found one reliable resource to tell me if it is all hype or it truly is a "crap your pants" scary movie.

I am not much of a scary movie fan, but the hype has caught my attention. A couple weeks ago, friends and family saw it and told me they were so scared that they walked out of the theater. Yeah, but they get scared of their own shadows so it does not count.

If you have seen this movie, let me know if it is a "cotton pusher". If you have not seen the movie and want to see it, holla! I will buy the movie tickets and goodies. I prefer to go with a group versus going alone.
