Quitting Time
Same story. No time to update the blog, so I am calling it quits. It is apparent that I do not have time to maintain the blog. Look around, place holders everywhere. I have enjoyed the past four years, but it is quitting time. I will update the blog through the end of October.

Cheesy Bacon Bowl
Check out Kentucky Fried Chicken's latest offering, the "Cheesy Bacon Bowl". The bowl is essentially a "Mashed Potato Bowl" with bacon bits. I will pass on this one, thank you. The bowl is available now for a limited time at participating restaurants.
Netflix Retreats
More news from the Netflix blog. Remember the "Qwikster" post about Netflix splitting its streaming and DVD by mail services? Well, forget about it. Netflix is doing a 180 and keeping both services. No Qwikster!

Raiders Owner Dies
Al Davis, Oakland Raiders owner, has passed away. Davis died at his home in Oakland, he was 82 years old. The family will retain ownership of the Oakland Raiders and son Mark will run the team. Below is the statement from the Raiders.
"The Oakland Raiders are deeply saddened by the passing of Al Davis," the team said in a statement. "Al Davis was unique, a maverick, a giant among giants, a true legend among legends, the brightest star among stars, a hero, a mentor, a friend."
The Simpsons Renewed
I just read that "The Simpsons" have been renewed for two more seasons. Why? The show is worn out! Personally, I stopped watching the animated sitcom over a decade ago. Fox is milking the franchise. Anyway, I am sure Simpsons fans will welcome the news.

RIP Steve Jobs
I am speechless. Apple founder, Steve Jobs has passed away. Read the announcement from Apple's Board of Directors. Send your condolences to rememberingsteve@apple.com. Rest In Peace Steve.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today," read a statement by Apple's board of directors. "Steve's brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts."
Stevie B Arrested
Stevie B was arrested during his concert in Springfield, MA. Apparently, he was arrested on charges of owing $420,000 in unpaid child support. The "King of Freestyle" is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow. Does anyone know if he performed at the "Freestyle Rush Tour"?

OnStar Retreats
OnStar retreats. OnStar has announced that it will not collect data from customers who do not have an OnStar plan. What a concept. Read the below comment from OnStar President Linda Marshall. Bullshit! #Fail
"We realize that our proposed amendments did not satisfy our subscribers," OnStar President Linda Marshall said. "This is why we are leaving the decision in our customers' hands. We listened, we responded and we hope to maintain the trust of our more than 6 million customers."
RIP Mr. Doritos
Trivia question, "Who invented Doritos"? Prior to this post, I did not know. The inventor of the tasty tortilla chips is Arch West, former executive, Frito-Lay. Well, I just read that Mr. West passed away last week. He was 97 years old.
One more item. Apparently, Mr. West's family will sprinkle Doritos at his graveside. The only way to go! The funeral service will be held this Saturday, October 1st at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. RIP Mr. Doritos.
