Carlos Mencia

Rant, Television No Comments »

Tonight, Comedy Central is airing Carlos Mencia - Performance Enhanced. I am not a Carlos Mencia fan, but thought I would check it out for a few minutes. Well, a few minutes were more than enough to remind me this guy is not funny.

The material for his routine centers around racism and handicapped topics, which are old and played out. Not to mention his delivery is horrible. Also, I just learned that his Mind of Mencia show was renewed and will premiere tomorrow night. Horrible.

Best TV Shows

Television No Comments »

Since we seem to have a lot of TV show bashing lately (Jose!)… I thought maybe we should take a poll on what everyone’s favorite show of all time is.  Mine… Buffy the Vampire Slayer! Oh, Sarah Michelle Gellar… you are soooo hot, you could slay me anytime.

Television Horrors

A couple of days ago, I posted that I hate the Fresh Prince. Well, I was flipping through the channels again and I just have to say that I despise Home Improvement. What a cluster, Tim Allen is boring and his show is not funny. This loser ran from 1991 through 1999!

However, I am not surprised to learn that the show was created by the same morons that created the equally stupid The Cosby Show. I hate The Cosby Show. I simply do not get it, but it comes down to individual tastes of course. I just hate these specific shows!

I Hate Fresh Prince

I was flipping through the cable channels and noticed Nick is airing Fresh Prince. I hate the Fresh Prince. I am not a fan of Will Smith or his idiotic antics. The theme song is annoying, comedy is lame, and the acting is mediocre. Arrggh! I hate it.

Knight Rider Movie

Ok, curiosity got the best of me. I watched the trailers on YouTube weeks ago and tonight I watched the two-hour premiere of the Knight Rider movie on NBC. Well, it was not great and it was not bad. How is that for commitment?

The only reason I watched the movie was to see the Ford Mustang-based KITT. For the old skool KITT fans, we know the original KITT was an ‘82 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The black Mustang looked hot, but it seemed out of place in the movie.

I, for one, believe that KITT was the star of the show. Hasselhoff was a supporting actor in the series! Okay, back to the Mustang. I did not like the double-decker wing or the stripes on the car. Also, missing were the digital dash and Turbo Boost features … boo!

The Mustang is a Ford icon, but it cannot replace the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am for KITT. I think a 5th-generation Firebird Trans Am would have been a better choice, but again what do I know? Oh, Hasselhoff had a cameo as Michael Knight … of course.

Human Whack-A-Mole

I enjoy watching MXC on Spike and I am always amused by the creative comedy shows aired in Japan. YouTube has some funny clips of Gaki No Tsukai, including human whack-a-mole, a game I want to play. I can think of a few MOLES I would like to WHACK! Nice.
