Another Xbox 360 Tidbit
Here is another tidbit for the gamers in our audience. Read the problem statement below, courtesy of Microsoft KB article 960626, and then read my comments.
When you attempt to use the PlayOnline Viewer for the Xbox 360 game "Final Fantasy XI," you receive the error message: "This game cannot start. Please download the data"
Per the support article, players may experience one of two issues. For me, the game failed to start and I received error message "This game cannot start. Please download the data." without fail. WTF is wrong now?
Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit
If you do not know what the Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit is, you can stop reading here. For those that do know, here is a tip for 250GB drive owners. GameStop and other sources told me the 120GB Data Migration Kit would not work with the 250GB drive.
Well, they were partially correct. What they should have told me was the initial version of the 120GB Data Migration Kit do not support the 250GB drive and to find one of the newer versions (with updated migration software).
So, if you are thinking about purchasing an Xbox 360 Data Migration Kit from eBay or other source, below are "working" part numbers that support migrating to the 250GB drive (i.e. Modern Warfare 2 LE Bundle). If the homeboys need to borrow one, let me know.

Rock Band 2 Gone
Finally, it is gone! I had an extra copy of Rock Band 2 SE for Xbox 360 and it sat longer than I expected. I listed it for sale on Craigslist and this blog, but no luck. Screw it! Christmas is over and we know what that means, right? After Christmas sales and returns!
You guessed it. I returned the game to a local retailer as a gift return and was given store credit. I lost over $100.00, but store credit is better than nothing and I really needed the game to go. What a hassle!
Rock Band 2 for Sale
I have a brand new, factory sealed copy of Rock Band 2 Special Edition for Xbox 360, which I must sell. I listed it on Craigslist a couple times, but all inquiries have been from trolls that want to trade or low ball the sale price!
I paid $180.00 plus the "Bend Over" taxes a few months ago and now, the game sells for less than 1/2 the original purchase price. Damn! If you live in CA and are looking for a new copy of Rock Band 2 SE for Xbox 360, let me know. $80.00 via PayPal to verified address ONLY!

Xbox Live Bans
Warning to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 players. If you abuse the "Javelin Missile Exploit", you are risking being banned from the Xbox Live Service. The bans can be as short as one day (24 hours) to getting kicked to the curb permanently.
Patch the stupid ass exploit and be done with it. Players use glitches all the time, why the head up the ass stance on select exploits? I have Modern Warfare 2, but was not aware of the exploit until today. I am going to try it just for shits now, haha!

Another Game Deal
Hey, GameStop has just rolled back prices on a couple games too. For example, Left 4 Dead 2 is $39.99 + $10.00 online coupon for future purchases. Compare to Walmart at $50.00 (was $59.96). Ya gotta love the price wars!
GameStop has other deals too, but I am not sure what to make of the following listing. The new game price is $39.99 and the used game price is $49.99. Whatever. Purchase a new one and be done with it. Halo 3: ODST is on sale for $39.99 too!

Video Game Deals
If you have been reading my recent posts, you know that I have purchased a couple games and consoles for the holiday. I even jumped on the Black Friday wagon to snatch up a few items. Well, earlier today I learned of the below deals at Walmart.
I stopped by to pick up a few items and noticed video game and console prices were rolled back or eligible for a gift card with purchase. For example: $10.00 rollback on popular video game titles, $50 gift card with purchase of a Wii, $40 gift card with purchase of DJ Hero.
I do not know if the same applies to online purchases, so be sure to check if you prefer to shop from the comfort of your home, office, or wherever. I must note the Wii promo starts on December 5th. Check the store for details, availability, and prices. * Disclaimer *
DJ Hero Deal
Listen up! If you are interesting in buying DJ Hero, I have a tip. Most retailers are selling it for $119.99 plus the "do me dry" taxes. I stopped by Fry's Electronics and was going to pick up a copy or two. Haha!
Not so fast Ricky Racer. I am going to stop by Walmart next, so why not wait to see if it is cheaper at Walmart. Damn! DJ Hero is $119.00 plus the state gouge taxes. Oh well, I might as well buy one now. Surprise! Buy @ Walmart and get a $40.00 gift card. Score!

Time For New Gear II
Well, I just purchased the Xbox 360 Elite at Costco. The console with two (2) "free" games was $293.99 plus the bend over taxes. On the way home, I stopped by GameStop to pick up a game and noticed they had the Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition bundle in stock.
Without blinking an eye, I asked the employee to "hook a homeboy up" with the LE bundle. I was about to fork over the $399.00 plus bend WAY over taxes until I asked the employee if the 120GB drive transfer cable worked with the LE's 250GB drive. His answer, "NO!"
He told me that the 120GB drive transfer cable does NOT work with the 250GB drive. WTF! We are transferring data from one drive to another, what is the damn problem? Apparently, one has to call M$ for a special cable. Screw that, I will keep the Elite bundle.
Time For New Gear
With the holidays right around the corner and our 3-year old Xbox 360's aging each day, it is time for an upgrade. I found a cool Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition bundle for $399.00 plus tax. Nice bundle.
The bundle includes a 250GB hard drive, two wireless controllers, headset, and extras. I am putting one on my shopping list. Even if I do not score one of the Limited Edition bundles, I think upgrading to the Elite edition is a must. Walmart, hold one for Wassup Jose!
