Got this working wit a little tweaking. It defaults to compatibility mode with WinXP service pack 2, but it will only run it SP3. Change that setting in the compatibility mode wizard and it installed fine. Thanks for the help!

FYI You need to uninstall the previous software or this will not load. After you do that all is golden.
Thank you for posting this. I can now convert my vhs to dvd.
