A tool that I use at home often that I've recently ported over to my work PC is ObjectDock. I like throwing all my shortcuts to the left side of my screen and having it auto hide so that my shortcuts aren't far away. It's one less click than using the Start menu and saves some real estate on my task bar.
I also use two browsers IE and Firefox. Firefox is my devoted web browser for all things non-web development. My IE is setup with my localhost CaRES page as the home page. Anytime I start working on the app I just hit IE, and CaRES loads up. Similarly, as I run into bugs or exception errors I just use Alt+ HOME to return me to the CaRES login page.
