Verizon Netbook Deal

No! I have NOT drifted to the dark side known as wireless carriers, but do want to pass this along for those interested. This deal is NOT for me, but I hate AT&T enough that I will pimp another providers wares! Also, I am in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Verizon.

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, here's the deal. Verizon is offering a HP Mini 110 Netbook for $29.99 with a 2-year contract. Not bad, considering the HP Mini 110 retails for approx. $299.00 +/-.

Are you ready for the NOT so good news? The Mobile Broadband plans will cost you an arm and a leg, just like the Smartphones. Actually, it is worse! You can start crying now - $39.99 for the 250MB plan or $59.99 for the 5GB plan.

Words of caution! If you plan to use the Internet at home or at the local Wi-Fi Hotspots, do NOT buy the Netbook from Verizon. Save yourself a bundle of cash (up to $1200.00) and buy the HP Mini 110 at the current (discounted) retail price and use Wi-Fi.

Yup! Use the Netbook with Wi-Fi and forget I ever mentioned the deal. However, if you are an Internet junkie and need to check your damn Facebook or get your Tweet on in the shit lounge 24x7 then it might be worth checking out.
