Labor Day

Hope everyone enjoyed the three day weekend. Someone asked me what Labor Day was all about. My quick definition is "Labor Day is a tribute to the American worker.", but there is more to it. Below is a snippet from the Department of Labor.

Labor Day is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Happy 4th 2011

Happy Fourth of July. I hope everyone had a great day. For those that do not know, today commemorates our independence from Great Britain. Also, on July 4, 1776 we adopted the Declaration of Independence. End PSA. Happy 235th America.

Happy Easter

For those who celebrate this religious day and/or enjoy the commercial side, Happy Easter 2011. That is it for tonight, I will be back tomorrow with more rants and random nonsense.

Easter, which celebrates Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, is Christianity's most important holiday. It has been called a moveable feast because it doesn't fall on a set date every year, as most holidays do. Instead, Christian churches in the West celebrate Easter on the first Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox on March 21. Therefore, Easter is observed anywhere between March 22 and April 25 every year.

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing all a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope everyone had a great day. If you are going to hit the Black Friday sales, get out there or you might miss out. I am not looking forward to fighting the crowds or standing in the long lines, but the deed must be done. Later.
