Kingston 256GB USB Drive

Kingston has released their new 256GB DataTraveler 300 USB Drive. Yup! A whopping 256GB on a stick. I cannot think of a need for such capacity on a USB Drive, but I assume there is a market for it. Check out some possible uses and Kingston's marketing statement:

It can also be used by business consumers who work with large databases (with your credit card information and social security number), or even designers who need to transfer large graphic files (porn collections) from one place to another

The DataTraveler 300 will enable users to carry huge volumes of data with them everywhere they go - up to 365 CDs for example. That’s one album for every day of the year, and it demonstrates how far flash technology has developed

  1. I need something like this. I’ve said in the past “I won’t need the much memory;” just like Bill Gates. I only made that mistake once. I’ve filled 3/5 of my 500GB RAID. I don’t even have an excess of media either. Aside from maybe my music collection, but even that is small in comparison to others’ libraries.
